As you all know, I am a huge fan of Home Goods. Actually, I barely remember what I did before Home Goods. On one of my trips to Home Goods last week I saw these beautiful Ralph Lauren table lamps. I didn't have anywhere to use them, so I passed them up. Even after I left the store, I kept thinking about them, but still couldn't figure out a place to use them. Later that day my parents called and said that they had just stopped by Home Goods and bought a pair of beautiful lamps for their foyer. When they started to describe them, I asked,...are they brass? Are they Ralph Lauren? All to which they replied "yes". They had bought the Ralph Lauren lamps I had lusted over but had no where for!
These lamps were only $49.99 each.
The tag said compare at $125, and on Ebay that's exactly what they are selling for.
They are heavy brass candlestick lamps. I think they look so gorgeous in my parents' foyer.
I'm so glad "my" lamps found a good home. Lol
What a great story! My mom and I have very similar tastes too. I have never been to a Home Goods store but I hear so many other bloggers talk about the great buys they find there. I think the closest one to me is in Birmingham, Alabama...must put a visit there on my "to do" list.
ReplyDeleteHow funny is that ?!? Wow, they are SO beautiful !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lamps! So glad they found a good home!
ReplyDeleteThat's so true! LOL My daughters and I have grabbed the SAME item many times and had to bargain with each other as to which one of us will actually get it! I am going to Home Goods today for my Thursday Shopper segment...can't wait!

That is funny, Judy! No Home Goods here ~ yet. I believe they are opening one about 30 minutes away from me in March. There is a TJ Maxx and Marshalls not too far, but I've been hitting up Hobby Lobby, which is pretty close to me {10 minutes}. Never had one of those, so I love that. I do miss Home Goods though, so I'll be looking forward to that store opening.
ReplyDeleteOh so lovely!!
ReplyDelete& nice that you will get to enjoy them when you visit your parents.
No Home Goods near here... & I am jealous when I read about the great finds there.

Oh they are gorgeous. I love brass and the candlestick style is so beautiful. Great taste for sure. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThere's no doubt about where you get your taste, is there? And you get to visit the lamps, without having to find the perfect home for them. Of course, if your parents ever decide to get rid of them, they could end up yours after all!
ReplyDeleteThat is something my mom and I would do. Your parents entry is beautiful and the new lamps look great!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! They looks gorgeous in their home! What a great find
ReplyDeleteOMG! an RL cost 50$?
ReplyDeleteThat's absolutely affordable to anyone. Do HG ships internationally? How I wish I could grab 2 of them.
Happy mid-wee...
