That's right...it's been so unseasonably warm here, I've actually got myself
believing that Spring is just around the corner. With that in mind, I was inspired to add a
little Spring to my dining room and lighten it up.
As with so many of my decorating projects, it all began with a trip to Home Goods. I found a tablecloth, runner and napkins in colors and in a pattern that I just loved.
The napkins will be pillows in the near future.
The napkins will be pillows in the near future.
I started by adding a "runner" to my dining room table.
I created this runner using a tablecloth folded in thirds the long way
and then I just pleated it at the head of the table on both ends.
I added the real runner to my buffet.
I just adore these colors.
Here is one side of the buffet...
here is the other side.
On the table I used two matching Lenox vases I had and filled them with my favorite flower...the hydrangea...even if they are faux.
The centerpiece is simply a cake stand with a ceramic basket with eggs in blue and green.
Can't wait to hear what you think of my little update. I always love and appreciate your comments.
Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty Judy. I love those colors too.
ReplyDeletespring is in the air...okay so not here but I'm ready for it! I love the colors, those cloths you found are gorgeous. Adore the eggs in the bowl. Heather
ReplyDeleteYour dining room is so pretty and Spring looking. Ah, Spring! Can't wait. Spring, everything starts to wake up, and we have a whole season (hopefully), of warmth, stretched out before us to enjoy! Can you tell I'm not so much a Winter person, lol!
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern! And I love HomeGoods! Your dining room looks so soft and pretty, it was the perfect touch. XO Cindy
ReplyDeleteLove it, Judy! I love your lamps and those prints, too, over your buffet. Is it okay to bring the eggs out? : ) I have a bunch I must buy everytime I see them on sale, forgetting the ones I already have at home. I think they will fit in my now empty apothecary jar {since I dumped out my dollar store plastic hearts}. I'm doing that today!
ReplyDeleteThe weather here goes back and forth from cold to Spring-like, but as long as the sun is out, I'm happy!
So pretty, I love what you did with the tablecloth. Fabulous, you room is beautiful. Hugs, Marty

ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful in the room, although I'm not quite ready for spring yet. We need a little more winter here first.

ReplyDeleteI love the look of Spring too, your dining room definitely looks like spring is on its way. Very pretty runner, love the closeup of it, so I can see the pattern and colors. I think the eggs add a soft touch too. Great job, Judy.

Love your diningroom. The flowers and the colors are so pretty. Great!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look! I guess it is the time year for "Spring Fever." Clever to use the tablecloth as a runner, & then be able to use it as a full cloth when needed. Adore that little ceramic basket.
