I updated my twelve year old daughter's room earlier this year, creating a tween haven for her.
You can check it out here.

I absolutely love her peace sign quilt we bought at Pottery Barn Teen.
She has the pink zebra sheets already (see them peaking out on the bed) and a set from Pottery Barn Teen that were a gift from her Mema. So technically I was not in the market for sheets.

However, a few weeks ago I was walking through Target and saw these Peace and Love sheets in someone else's cart. I kept walking but kept thinking about them. Even though I had only gotten a quick glance, I knew that they would be perfect. I went back to the bedding aisle and found the label where these peace sheets should be, but there weren't any left. I found a Target employee and asked them if they had any in the back (I don't know why I ask any store employee this...I don't think anyone has ever said yes to that question). She said that there were none in the back and that the store had one set in a full size. I knew that already...the person who had it in their cart got the last set. I tried to make myself feel better by telling myself it must not have been meant to be. I walked away and did some more shopping a few aisles away. A few minutes later that same Target employee hunted me down - she had found the sheets - and she was nice enough to actually come and find me.
I guess the other person changed their mind. All I could think was WOO HOO!!

Don't they go perfect with her bedding? They are so Pottery Barn Teen-ish, but at Target prices.
What could be better.
What deals have you found lately?
On a separate note...I just noticed that today is my 500th post. WOW!!
Thanks for taking this journey with me each and every day.
Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeletePerfect Judy!! Now I'm going to have to make a trip to Target because my 12 year old would love them too, even my 6yr old!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
The sheets are just perfect. How wonderful that the employee found you so you could get them. Great service, they should give her a raise. Congrats on your 500th post. Great job. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThey are perfect, Judy! Even though you weren't looking to get new sheets, you couldn't pass these up. That happens to me sometimes, too. Those are the types of things that you would keep thinking about afterwards if you don't get it.
ReplyDeleteThey do go perfectly with her bed. Great find and so lucky they ended up in your cart in the end. That's a lot of posts. It's been fun to read along.
ReplyDeleteJudy- That is so cute- goes great with her bed. I love it when things work out that way- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteCute sheets & they go so well with your daughter's bedding. Happy
ReplyDelete500th post!
Hi Judi, greetings. Not often, but sometimes I take a journey into your awesome home loving world. Really love your bedding deign and decor ideas. Absolutely the peace sign quilt and zebra sheets look so gorgeous. I think, the way you adorned your daughter's room was very fascinating. In fact I was hunting for organic cotton sheet sets for my bedding and I love to admit the peace and love sheets you unfolded here was a fantastic bedding experience. They look indeed perfect.
