Build a Gazebo for the Summer

Today I'd like to share with you this insightful article written especially for DIYbyDesign by Anna Hicks.  Enjoy!

In addition to looking gorgeous, gazebos allow their users to enjoy the outdoors while remaining protected from the elements. The heat and sun serve as reminders that the summer months are the best time to enjoy the benefits of a gazebo. With the right tools, materials, and information, building a gazebo is easy and rewarding. Get started on your own gazebo, and experience the summer weather like never before.

Building your own gazebo is fun, and it allows you to sidestep the process of hiring a costly construction crew. Before starting a personal gazebo project, make sure you have the adequate materials to build the unit. Luckily, there are a number of attractive gazebo kits that let you choose the final product before you begin. The website www.gazebos.com manufactures and delivers attractive and customizable gazebo kits, allowing you to choose the perfect commercial or residential gazebo for your needs. There are many styles of gazebo kits, from simple open-air gazebos to more intricate units with windows. These kits contain all the materials necessary to build a finished product.

Planning the project before the building begins will prevent any issues during the process. Gazebos require a flat surface. They can be built on a hill or other unlevel ground, but this requires some framework. Also, make sure the gazebo kit you buy is made of high-quality, durable materials. Vinyl gazebos are a good choice for those who want a low-maintenance option. If you decide on wood, have some sealer on hand to protect the wood from UV rays and mildew.

After you have built your gazebo, you can relax in your new refuge from the summer heat. Gazebos are the smart way to enjoy being outside year-round, but the summer is an especially good time to enjoy their benefits. With the ultraviolet rays of the sun beating down, a gazebo provides a shady area that still lets in the cooling breeze.

In addition to providing shelter from the hot sun, an attractive gazebo will raise the value of your property. This makes gazebos both comfortable and financially beneficial additions to any home or business. In all kinds of weather, gazebos give you the option of staying outside and enjoying yourself, no matter where you live. If you want to stay out of the heat this summer, order a gazebo kit, and reap the many benefits of these useful structures.

Thanks Anna.

Don't forget to stop back tonight for my Swing into Spring party.

The party opens at 8pm EST.  Hope to see you then.

  5. I love gazebos but my yard doesn't lend itself to one. It is so oddly shaped that there is a lot of wasted space.
