Cross Your Fingers

For the past seven years or so my husband (and I) have hosted a work party for everyone in his division.  The party is always held in the middle of the week and it's a chance for everyone to bond and connect in a non-work environment.  We are expecting over 100 people today.  We hire a catering company that brings it's own equipment and bar-b-ques all day as well as a pizza guy who will be cranking out pizzas from our pizza oven.  It's a big affair.  Here's the catch - it has rained six of the seven years we have hosted this party.  We have tried changing the month, we have tried changing the day, but the rain seems to be a constant theme with this party.  It rained over night and everything is soaked as I write.  But, as you can see, it is sunny and beautiful this morning.
However, the weather report calls for rain starting around noon (super...the party starts at noon).
Cross your fingers for the weather to hold out!!
I'll share how it goes tomorrow.

  1. Fingers crossed for you, Judy! Isn't that always the way though. A big outdoor party and it rains. Thankfully you have the tent.

  5. It's always a roll of the dice when we entertain al fresco here on the prairie. I feel certain that your party will be a hit come rain or shine. Looking forward to the details. Cherry Kay
