Today is one of my favorite days of the year.

Well...it takes a week or so for it to look this blue, but at least they are coming to open the pool today.
I'm hoping this means that warm weather is on it's way. It's been a particularly cold spring with only a few scattered "spring-like" days so far. We always open it this time of the year to have it ready for Mother's Day (even if it's too cold to swim it makes the yard look much prettier without the cover).
Who else is ready for the warmer weather?

I used to love how it looked when we uncovered our pool, too, Judy. We had a 20x40 at our old house and it wasn't getting much use in the five years leading up to our move. We had it covered most of that time until we put the house on the market. It is supposed to be 77 today and pretty warm the rest of the week, so I am hoping we are done with anything below 60 at this point.

ReplyDeleteWe open ours mid May, we're having some work done on the pool deck right now. Adding a gas fire pit and a stone water feature, I can't wait to see it complete! Just showed my husband the picture of your pool and deck, he loved it!
