Contact Paper Projects

I am a huge fan of contact paper.  It's so versatile and comes in so many awesome patterns these days that the possibilities are endless.  The best part about contact paper is it is low commitment.  If you get sick of the pattern you can easily remove it and start over with something else.  I have used contact paper in so many different ways.
Here is a little trip down my memory lane of contact paper projects...
One of the largest projects I did using contact paper was transforming my husband's white closet organizer system into a dark, more masculine, wood grain closet system.  It's been over a year and the contact paper has held up perfectly.  Not even one rip or tear.  That's a project that worked out even better than I had ever imagined.
I used a different contact paper in that closet to cover the back wall of the closet to make the unit really look built in.
I have also reinvented furniture using contact paper.  I turned a plain white window seat into something much more modern and sleek.
When I created a coffee bar in my kitchen I used a combination of contact paper and decoupage to make the stand for one of the coffee makers.
Contact paper is also awesome as temporary wallpaper.
I also love to decorate boxes like I did here ...

and here.
It's easy to make coordinating accessories using empty containers and contact paper.

I also used contact paper to decorate the inside of my daughter's school locker.

I've even transformed an old mirror.
Contact paper is an easy way to take a plain tray and make it into something special.
Of course, there is the usual way of using contact paper...like lining bathroom cabinets...

I hope some of my projects have inspired you to try your hand with contact paper.
