This weekend we were invited to Orient Point which is at the end of Long Island. If you know anything about Long Island you know that typically the traffic is horrible. We got super lucky and hit absolutely no traffic on Saturday morning. Since we got there so quickly, it was too early to go to our friend's home. Instead we stopped off for some wine tasting along the way.
Pindar Vineyards was literally on our way to Orient Point.
This part of Long Island is wine country. It's New York's version of Napa Valley.
So at 11am we were wine tasting. Is 11am too early?
Apparently not.
We tasted five different red wines.
We loved three of them and bought two of each.
Stop back tomorrow to check out more of our weekend trip.

How fun!!
If they're serving, I guess it's not too early, Judy! : ) Pindar wine is actually one I know of and really like {although, I'm not a big wine drinker}. They used to have a store down in Port Jefferson that I went in for gifts {it was right down the block from where I worked so it was convenient, too}.
Oh how fun. I havn't been to Long Island, but love Napa Valley. Sounds like a great weekend. Hugs, marty
that's sounds like something I would do!
Sounds like fun! I bet you were nice & relaxed when you got to your friend's house. lol
We have so many wonderful wineries here in the Willamette Valley and we love going wine tasting! Looks like you had a great time and it is always so fun to see photos of your beautiful face! :-)

A few years ago out with friends for a day of exploring we did an impromptu wine tasting and had so much fun! Now we have a winery a few miles from us and I've only stopped in once.

Hey its 5 oclock somewhere right? lol can you say Jealous! Wish I was there with you:)
Looks like a red wine. Definitely, it has been shown, though not conclusive, to lower cholesterol and fight free radicals.
