I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We were super busy all weekend decorating our home for Christmas. Each year we start our Christmas decorating the day after Thanksgiving. It takes several days to put everything together, but I'm happy to say that it's all done. I changed up the color scheme of my mantel this year. Here it is...our Christmas Mantel 2013:
I brought it more golds, browns and creams this year along with a touch of blue/green.
The PEACE stocking holders are from Pottery Barn many years ago. The candles are Lumiere - they are the most realistic faux candles I have ever seen. I added lit greenery wrapped in ribbon behind everything on the mantel to give it a layered look.
The topiaries are from Home Goods and the mini Peace, Love, Joy trees are an easy DIY project I made (tutorial later in the week).
My favorite part of the mantel are our new stockings. Be sure to stop back later this week for a full tutorial on how to make your own stockings. It's easier than you think.
Can't wait to hear what you think of my mantel all decorated for Christmas.

It all looks so pretty, Judy! I was going to ask if you made your new stockings. They look great. As soon as I find my stocking holders, the new ones I made for the husband and myself will be hanging.
Your mantel looks beautiful Judy. The Christmas stockings are so pretty.
Love your mantel decor, it is so pretty and I love the stockings too. I think I need to make some new ones. Hugs, Marty
