I started with an empty container and a bunch of popsicle sticks I had in a craft bin.
I removed the label from the container and cut scrapbook paper to size.
I then attached it using Mod Podge.
I then did the same with the lid.
Then using a Sharpie, I simply wrote the chores on each of the sticks.
After some final decorations to the container, I filled it with the chore sticks. Now the kids simply have to try their luck in what they pull out. (You get what you get and you don't get upset).
Hope everyone will be safe this weekend with the hurricane scheduled to hit the east coast.

great idea...can they "trade" with each other?
You are so clever. My kids would probably ask where is the Popsicle, LOL...have a great weekend Judy.
What a great idea! I`ll have to remember this idea for when my kids are big enough for chores!
Thanks so much for stopping by BPPackages and following!! :)
What a clever mom you are!
=)
Great idea! We use this system in school for class participation. When everyone has their hand up to answer a question, it's much easier to pull a popsicle stick to see who gets to answer the question.
Love that idea!
Great idea! I'm sure it's working perfectly, too.
This is such a great idea, I've just gotten more "serious" about the kids doing chores and this should help! Janell
