Making Good Even Better

How was your weekend?  Mine was busy with lots of excitement which I will share with you tomorrow.  Did anyone else have issues with Blogger last week?  I had a scheduled post for Friday which, after Blogger fixed whatever they were fixing, was lost forever.  So here is that post...recreated.

Remember my mudroom renovation?
Just as a reminder this is where it began:
After removing wallpaper, painting and adding a board and batten treatment the room was complete.  You can click here to read all about it.
I had these benches in my downstairs, and since the size and fabric worked, I used them in the mudroom.
I was in my favorite store, Home Goods, when I came across these benches last week.  They caught my eye because they were the right size, had a tufted top, beautiful fabric...

and nailhead trim.  But that wouldn't be enough for me to change out the benches.  What really sealed the deal was...
...they are storage ottomans.
The mudroom is not huge, so any opportunity for extra storage needs to be seized.  At $50 each I just couldn't leave them.  They had to come home with me.
2 kids plus all their stuff + 2 storage ottomans = the perfect mudroom benches.

Don't you love when you find something so perfect when you didn't even set out to find it?  I love my new ottomans.  What do you think?

I Love them too....I've been looking for the same type of storage for the girls shoes in the entry...problem is, my entry is very small so need a very shallow ottoman...they look lovely...beautiful storage!!!

Love them!! I also love that rug and have been eyeing it for ages!! Your mudroom area looks wonderful given the whole transformation and the addition of the new ottomans. I love when you find that perfect something even when you arent looking for it...I especially love when it comes at a good price!! :)

I love these in the room so much more! Great idea and perfect storage. Space is a premium so these worked out great. Love the color and pattern with the rug.

I love them, Judy! I may have to make a trip to Home Goods {haven't been in a month or so}. I can't believe they were $50.00. I usually expect to see a minimum $79.-$89.00 on something like this from them.

Those are just beautiful Judy! That fabric could not work more perfectly in there. I use 2 storage benches placed back to back as a "coffee table" in our family room and love having the extra space for games and stuff. Now, if only Home Goods would come a bit closer to me! :-)

Oh I love those! The extra storage is definitely worth purchasing them..besides their cuteness! Just so you don't feel singled out Blogger went down for EVERYONE and I mean everyone. It was a fiasco for two days. Hey, when you get a chance check your email for one from us. :) Have a beautiful week sweet Judy!

They are awesome! I have a storage ottoman in my entryway. I'm getting ready to re-cover it and seeing yours gave me the idea to add some nailhead trim. Thanks!
