This living room makeover has been years in the making. For a while I have been over the burgundy color in my living room and dining room. I finally took the plunge on Tuesday and had the rooms repainted.
The color we chose is Benjamin Moore Gray Mirage.
The color is a gray/green and according to Candice Olson, it's one of her go-to colors and a neutral that can work with anything.
Ah...I don't think it works with everything...I think the area rug is going to have to be replaced...I don't think it works so well.
As for the furniture arrangement...we ended up with a totally different plan that any of the plans we had considered. Creating floor plans on paper is great, however, they tend to lie.
This was the plan we thought we were going with. However, paper and reality are very different and having the piano on this side just ate up too much space...not to mention you couldn't get through to get to the living room.
We did switch up the sofa and loveseat which gave more room by the piano.
Over the next few days/weeks I will be on the hunt for artwork and a new area rug.
Stop back tomorrow for the reveal of my dining room (which is much more complete).
Can't wait to hear what you think.
