Thanksgiving Table 2013

We host Thanksgiving most years, and to help make it as stress-free as possible, I like to set my table early.
This way I can take my time setting the table and cross one more thing off my list of things to do.

This year I drew inspiration from a table runner I bought a year or so ago from Pottery Barn.
I love the soft brown, blue and cream in the runner and wanted to also add a touch of a mustard yellow, to pick up on my new serving platter from Sur La Table (which I got on sale plus was able to use a 20% off coupon).
I alternated brown and white dishes around the table.   The pattern is the same for both colors.  I got these dishes on clearance from Bed Bath and Beyond over the weekend.  Originally I wanted service for twelve in the brown dishes.  However, they only had eight of the brown dishes left and only had eight of the cream dishes left.  That's when I decided I could alternate the dishes on the table.   For service for sixteen,  I paid only $45!  So why sixteen you ask?  I figured now I have service for 8 of two different sets of dishes, which makes more sense than service for 6.
The candles are flameless from Pottery Barn and the candle sticks are from Pottery Barn as well.
The candles look better in person than on camera all lit up.
The table also has pumpkins in the same color scheme along with my turkey salt and pepper shakers.

I made the acorn napkin rings/place cards.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow to check out this easy DIY project.

You can check out how I made the pillows on the end chairs here.  They coordinate perfectly with my Thanksgiving tablescape color scheme.

Now all I need is the turkey!

Can't wait to hear what you think of my Thanksgiving tablescape.

It is gorgeous. I love the gold and brown colorscheme and the platter in the center is a fabulous piece too. Great idea with mixing colors, it looks so much more interesting. Very, very pretty. Be sure to link up to Inspire Me this afternoon. Hugs, Marty

The entire table is beautiful, but I especially love the splash of blue that the candles provide.
