It's a Sale

Tomorrow is the Ethan Allen warehouse sale.  It's really like my second Christmas each year.  Ethan Allen is one of my favorite furniture stores.  The warehouse sale is really an opportunity to buy beautiful Ethan Allen furniture for usually at least 50% off.
I have gone in past years.  Let's just say...it is an experience.  The doors open at 9:30am.  The crowd begins to form a line around 6am!!  I have to get my kids off the school so I won't get there until around 9:15 (it is a 45 minute drive for me).  Honestly once they open the doors it really doesn't matter whether you got there at 6am or 9:45.  This year they have changed the location so everyone will be back to square one as far as knowing exactly which rooms have the best stuff.  I have learned that you can't just go in and browse.  You need to have items you are looking for or else you really can't find anything.  Once you find your item you literally have to guard it until someone who works there notices you and tags the item as sold for you.  It's crazy but in the end you can find some really amazing bargains.  Here are my favorite finds from past years.

These jars in the store retailed for $135, $145, and $155 in size order.  I know that because I had bought them from the store a week before my first warehouse sale.  I went to the warehouse sale and there they were but for $35, $39, and $45.  I almost flipped.  I decided to buy them at the sale and deal with the store after.   At the time, I was having my window treatments for the kitchen done at Ethan Allen, so they were very nice and took back the full price items.

These jars I had seen in the store and always loved them, but wasn't going to spend $150+ for each one.  At the sale I got both for under $50!

Got this drum table for $400 less than in the store.  I will say that this table has no sheen and the drum tables in the store do have a sheen.  I didn't realize that when I bought it, but I also liked it's more rustic look (not realizing that's probably why is was at the sale).

This is probably my favorite find.  I was looking for this exact coffee table.  I got it for $600 less than it retails.  It has a leather inlaid top and drawers on either side.  It's from their Townhouse collection.

This chair was just perfect for my living room.  I wasn't in the market for a chair, but how could I resist this one.  It has buffalo plaid fabric on the sides.  I got this chair for less than 50% of what it would retail for.

Tomorrow I am specifically looking for the Maison three drawer chest.  I have actually been looking for the chest the past two years.  Maybe this year it will be there.
the one in the middle is the Maison three drawer chest
I can't wait to share what I get at the sale.  Let me know what you think of my finds from past years.
