Easy Pesto Sauce

Pesto sauce is perfect over pasta and makes plain Jane pasta something a bit more special.
It's super easy and quick to make.
Here's all you have to do:

2 cups packed basil leaves
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup pine nuts
3 garlic cloves (or 1 tablespoon prepared minced garlic)
1 tablespoon lemon juice (keeps it from turning brown)
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

In a food processor, mince the pine nuts, garlic and oil until smooth.
Add the basil leaves a little at a time and continue to blend.  After all the leaves have been blended,
add the cheese and lemon and blend together.
This is what your sauce should look like when you're done.
Serve over warm pasta.
It's a great alternative to red sauce.
Hope you will try it.

Have a great weekend.
